What parents in Kerala always ask.
Will this affect my child's board studies?+
ORCI runs as a school activity — 2 hours per week, scheduled by the school around the timetable. It does not replace any subject or add exam pressure. Most parents find that students who join ORCI become more focused overall — hands-on making builds concentration and problem-solving instincts that carry into academics.
What if my child loses interest halfway?+
₹2,000 is a one-time fee collected at enrollment — there is no further financial commitment. If your child loses interest early, the fee is not recoverable, but the program continues for all other students. In practice, once students print their first object and see it as something they can sell, interest stays high. The marketplace angle keeps them motivated throughout.
Is 3D printing safe for school children?+
Yes. The ALA printer uses PLA filament — a biodegradable, non-toxic material made from cornstarch. Operating temperatures are handled by the machine, not the student. Students interact with the design software and the finished print — not the hot end. ORCI provides a full safety orientation to every student in Month 1.
Can my child actually earn money from FOFUS?+
Students earn ORCI coins — not direct cash — for every sale on FOFUS. Coins are redeemable as printing credits, allowing them to print more freely without any additional cost. The income is real in the sense that it funds further making. Whether coins convert to cash in future program tiers is something ORCI is building toward.
Is the certificate recognised anywhere?+
ORCI's certificate is issued by GNI Labs LLP, a registered company operating since 2021 in Kerala. It documents specific skills — 3D design proficiency, product development, and maker competency — that are increasingly valued by colleges and employers. It is aligned with NEP 2020 vocational guidelines. As ORCI grows its school network, the certificate's recognition will grow with it.
My child is not "good at technology." Is ORCI still for them?+
ORCI is specifically designed for students with no prior tech experience. TinkerCAD is taught from absolute basics. The first month is entirely introductory. The program works for students who love art, students who love science, students who are creative but not academic, and students who just want to make something cool. It is not a coding class. It is a making class.
